Jenny Pitzen. MSW, LCSW
We all experience challenging seasons in our lives, and these periods often shape our identity. The question is whether they will drive us towards despair or spur us into growth. I believe that peace, hope, and joy are attainable for each person, no matter the challenges they face. With this in mind, I approach my clients with compassion and understanding for where they are and where they have been, and hope and challenge for the future. I strive to create a space where people feel truly heard, affirmed, accepted, and valued. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 5 to 75 years old. I have walked with people through anxiety, depression, panic, self-injury, adoption-related concerns, aging challenges, health challenges, school refusal, grief and loss, parenting challenges, and infertility. My approach depends on the needs of each individual and their personal goals. I often incorporate play and activity-based therapy with children and adolescents and draw guidance from Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems, and many trauma-informed methods. I am open to exploring spirituality if this is something that interests my clients.
